tern assemblies and a discharge check valve allowing single- and
dual-pump operation.
The suction and discharge ports are in-line.
• Max. service pressure
: 10 bar

ISO PN 10 flanges (NF E 29203) with gasket contact face.
2. SAFETY
LRead these instructions carefully before installing and starting up.
Pay special attention to the points concerning the safety of the
equipment for the intermediate or end user.
2.1 Symbols used in the manual
Warning.
Instruction concerning electricity.
Calls attention to a potential risk that might affect
the safety of people.
3. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
When taking delivery of the equipment, check that it has not been
damaged in transport. If anything is found wrong, take the necessa-
ry steps with the carrier within the allowed time.
If the equipment delivered is to be installed at a later time, store it in
a dry place and protect it from impacts and outside influences (mois-
ture, frost, etc.)
.
For a normal shutdown:
- Close the discharge valve and stop the pump.
For a prolonged shutdown, if there is a risk of frost:
- Close both pump isolating valves and if necessary drain the pump
casing (through the plug(s) provided on some pumps).
- When starting back up, check that the motors turn freely, without
sticking; fill the pump and the suction pipe; bleed the mechanical
seal.

(recommended spares in bold type):
These are recommendations only, since the frequency of replace-
ment will depend on the conditions of use of the unit:
- for the mechanical seal, the quality, temperature, and pressure of
the pumped liquid;
- for the motor and the other components, the load and the
ambient temperature.

5. INSTALLATION
Install the pump in an easy-to-reach location.
If the motor is heavy (lifting tackle required), provide a point of
attachment (rail or lifting hook) in the centreline to make it easy to lift
the motor clear.
The pump may be connected directly to the piping or (better) instal-
led on a foundation block with proper sound and vibration damping.
5.1 Direct mounting on pipe (see Fig. 1)
May be installed in any position except blower cover down.
5.2 Installation on foundation block
The size of the block should be appropriate to the weight and dimen-
sions of the pump.
If the installation includes several pumps, they may be installed on the
same foundation provided that proper sound and vibration damping
practice is followed.
