1. GENERAL
1.1 Applications
The KIDSON module protects heating networ ks from sludge
formation by continuously eliminating suspended matter, while also
continuously degassing the network. This elimination is achieved by
natural physical effects.

• volume of installation treated
: 0.5 to 40 m
3
• ND of closed network
: 15 to 250
• Power supply
: Single-phase 230 V
2. SAFETY
Read this data sheet carefully before installing and starting up. Pay
special attention to the points concer ning the safety of the
equipment for the intermediate or end user.
2.1 Symbols used in the manual
Warning.
Instruction concerning electricity.
Calls attention to a potential risk that might affect
the safety of people.
3. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
When taking delivery of the equipment, check that it has not been
damaged in transport. In the event of a defect, take the necessary
steps with the carrier within the allowed time.
If the equipment delivered is to be installed at a later time,
store it in a dr y place and protect it from impact and
external influences (moisture, frost, etc...).

4.3 Assembly (see Fig. 1)
All parts of the module are joined by threaded connections.
Use the pipe sealing glue provided to seal the couplings (follow the
directions for its use).
Do not forget the circulator gaskets and the hoses.
Check the directions of flow of the equalization valve (
item
9
) and the circulator (
item 2
).
Note:
The inlet/outlet taps (models 0.5, 1, 2) or the outlet taps
(models 3, 4, 5) pass through the separator and the connections
may be made on either the left or the right side. Use the plugs
provided to blank the unused ports.
5. INSTALLATION
So as not to dissupt the operation of the heating network, IT
IS ESSENTIAL TO MAINTAIN A CONSTANT PRESSURE IN THE
NETWORK
, to correct for the loss of water when the liquid
sludge is evacuated. Provide an automatic or manual
water feed.
5.1 Room
Make sure that the door to the room allows free access to the
module.
The KIDSON must be installed in a room that is readily accessible,
properly ventilated, and protected from frost.
5.2 Mountain
KIDSON 0,5 - 1 - 2
attached to wall by anchor bolts (not supplied).
KIDSON 3 - 4 - 5
attached to floor by anchor bolts (not supplied).
5.3 Hydraulic connections (see Fig. 3)
Whatever the configuration of the installation (new or old), the module
must be bypass-connected on the network return.
Connect the suction and discharge ports, using the diameters stated in
the table above (
see 4
).
The suction tap must be on the bottom chord of the pipe, the
discharge tap on the top chord.
To isolate the module and allow adjustments and servicing,
interpose quarter-turn or similar valves on the suction and
discharge lines.
The sludge evacuation pipe must have a full disconnection to outfall at
atmospheric pressure. The diameter of this pipe must be at least as
large as that of the flush valve (
item 6
).
5.4 Electrical connection
The electrical connections and checks should be made by a
qualified electrician and should comply with the local
standards in force.
Make sure that the general electr ical installation is in
compliance with standard NFC 15100.
Line power
Use a three-conductor cable (phase, neutral, and earth) to connect
the 230-V, single-phase mains power to the terminals of the box
(
tem 1
).
Box-circulator wiring
Use the cord supplied (
item 16
) and refer to the circulator installation
instructions.
Do not forget to connect the earth (green-and-
yellow conductor).
6. STARTING UP
6.1 Adjustments
The equalization valve (
item 9
) controls the differential pressure and
adjusts the opening cross-section to keep the flow at the preset
value. The values given in the table below are set in the factory.
