F. Installing Forward Facing
Safety Tip:
Experts agree that children should remain
rear facing as long as possible. In this child
restraint, your child can remain rear facing up
to 40 lbs (18 kg) and up to 40 in (101.6 cm).
The top anchorage strap (tether) is used for the
forward-facing position only.
NOTE:
We strongly recommend that you use the
top anchorage strap (tether) in the forward-facing
position. If your vehicle does not have an anchor
bracket, please see your dealer or a qualified
mechanic and have one installed. The top anchorage
strap (tether) can greatly improve the performance of
this child restraint.
Storage of Top Anchorage Strap (tether):
When top anchorage
strap (tether) is not
in use, attach top
anchorage strap’s hook
to storage location as
shown.
Tighten tether to remove
the slack.
