5. If you select the second option you see the following warning
message. Click ‘OK’ to
continue.
6. You are then required to enter a unique password (as shown below) which will need
to be entered each time you insert your device to read/write any data from it. The
password must be at least six characters long. It is recommended that a combination
capital letters and alphanumeric characters are used for extra security but this is not
obligatory.
7. Enter your unique password and re-type the password
to confirm then click ‘Next’.
8. The device will then encrypt displaying a progress bar as shown below. The
encryption process will take approximately 10 minutes using the ‘Delete all existing
data’ option. It may take slightly longer if you have chosen the recommended option
to ‘Automatically backup and restore the data’.
