Saab Information Display
SID
The SID display is located in the lower edge of
the speedometer. Depending on equipment
level the following functions can be selected
with the steering wheel button i/SET. The func-
tions are arranged in a continuous, scrolling
loop:

1 Select function with the steering wheel
button i/SET.
2 Press and hold the i/SET button until a
chime is heard and the value is marked.
3 Change the value with the steering wheel
button

4 End with a short press on the i/SET button.
When the alarm sounds it is switched off using
the steering wheel button CLR.

The ACC system will achieve the desired
temperature in the quickest possible way. Note
that selecting a higher or lower temperature
than that desired will not speed up the process.
For the ACC system to be most effective, all
windows (and sunroof, if fitted) should be
closed.
Starting in cold weather
To start with, the system will automatically
select the defroster setting, maximum heat and
low fan speed. As the engine warms up, air will
also be distributed through the floor vents and
the fan speed will be increased.
Starting in hot weather
The system will automatically distribute air
through the panel vents at high fan speed and
will switch on the A/C compressor (unless the
ECON switch has been pressed). If the outdoor
temperature is above 86°F (30°C), the system
might select recirculation after approximately
45 seconds if this is required in order to reach
the desired temperature.
