CONNECTING THE POLE SAW
ATTACHMENT
See Figure 2.
WARNING:
Never install, remove, or adjust any attachment
while power head is running or with the battery
pack installed. Failure to stop the motor or
remove the battery pack can result in serious
personal injury.
The pole saw attachment connects to the power
head by means of a coupler device that connects
the cutting head pole to the mandatory pole.
Remove the battery pack if installed.
Align the arrows on the cutting head pole and
the mandatory pole and insert the plug on the
mandatory pole into the socket on the cutting
head pole. Make sure the plug is fully seated.
Slide the collar on the cutting head pole onto
the threaded base on the mandatory pole and
turn the coupler clockwise. Tighten securely.
NOTE:
Once assembled correctly, the attachment
and power head should not separate when pulled.
Repeat above steps if pieces can be separated.
WARNING:
Failure to secure the attachment and power
head as instructed above could result in serious
injury or death.
REMOVING THE ATTACHMENT FROM
THE POWER HEAD
Remove the battery pack.
Turn the couplers counterclockwise to unlock,
then remove the cutting head pole from the
mandatory pole, mandatory pole from interme-
diate pole (if used), and mandatory (or interme-
diate) pole from the power head.

Loosen and remove the wing bolt from the
handle.
Install the handle on the power head shaft in
the area indicated by the illustration.
Adjust handle up or down, if necessary, to de-
sired operating position.
Reinstall the wing bolt and tighten securely.
ATTACHING THE SHOULDER
HARNESS
See Figure 4.
Connect the latches on the shoulder harness to
the strap hanger on power head.
Adjust the strap to a comfortable position.
