TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
CAUSE
ACTION
The motor does not run.
The overload protection has been
activated.
Press the reset button, and press the
switch “I”.
Power failure.
Power supply interrupted.
Check the power supply cable, the plug
and the house fuse are all connected
and switched on.
The material to be shredded is not
drawn in.
The material is jammed in the
feeding funnel.
Press the switch marked “O” to stop the
motor. Pull the material from the feed
funnel. Re-feed thick branches so that
the blade does not immediately engage
the pre-cut notches.
The cutting blade is blocked.
Clear the obstruction. Refer to
CLEARING OBSTRUCTIONS section
on page 5.
The cutting blades are worn or
damaged on one cutting side.
Reverse the blades. Refer to BLADE
MAINTENANCE section on page 6.
The cutting blades are worn or
damaged on both sides.
Purchase replacement blades. Please
contact your local Ryobi stockist.
Caution!
Allow the shredder to come to a complete stop before changing the direction of rotation.
