ELECTRICAL SAFETY AND PLUG FITTING

WARNING

Read these safety instructions thoroughly before 

connecting this product to the mains supply.

Before  switching  on,  make  sure  that  the  voltage  of 

your  electricity  supply  is  the  same  as  that  indicated 

on  the  rating  plate.  This  product  is  designed  to 

operate on 230-240V~AC 50Hz.

Connecting it to any other power source may cause 

damage.

This  garden  shredder  may  be  fitted  with  a  non-

rewireable plug.

This  garden  shredder  is  supplied  with  a  fitted  plug, 

however if you should need to fit a new plug, follow 

the instructions below.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by 

the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified 

persons in order to avoid a hazard. 

NOTE:

 If a molded plug is fitted and has to be removed, 

take  great  care  in  disposing  of  the  plug  and  severed 

cable.  It  must  be  destroyed  to  prevent  engaging  in  a 

socket.

IMPORTANT

The  wires  in  the  mains  lead  are  colored  in  accordance 

with the following code:

Blue — Neutral

Brown — Live

As  the  colors  of  the  wires  in  the  mains  lead  of  this 

appliance may not correspond with the colored markings 

identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:

The  blue  wire  must  be  connected  to  the  terminal 

which is marked with N or colored black.

The  brown  wire  must  be  connected  to  the  terminal 

which is marked with L or colored red.

Ensure that the outer sheath of the cable is firmly held by 

the clamp.
