GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

 WARNING:

Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.

LUBRICATING THE BLADE

See Figure 6.

For easier operation and longer blade life, lubricate shrubber
blades before and after each use. If you will be using the
shrubber for an extended period, it is advisable to lubricate
the blade during use.

  Remove the battery pack.

Lay the shrubber on a flat surface. Apply light weight

machine lubricant along the edge of the top blade.

NOTE:

Do not lubricate while the shrubber is running.

STORING THE SHRUBBER

See Figure 7.

Remove the battery pack from the shrubber before

storing.

Clean all foreign material from the shrubber.

Always place the scabbard on the cutting blades before

transporting or storing the unit.

Store it in a place that is inaccessible to children.

Keep away from corrosive agents such as garden
