housing.
Tighten handle knobs.
Dethatcher not starting.
The battery is not installed.
The battery is low.
The start key is not installed.
Install the battery.
Recharge battery.
Install the start key.
Unit makes abnormal noises.
Debris or foreign object hindering
dethatcher cylinder or tines.
Stop the motor, disconnect the power
source, and remove debris or foreign
objects preventing dethatcher from
operating properly.
Dethatcher not working properly or
results not satisfactory.
Grass is too tall.
Wet debris sticking to the underside
of the deck.
Tines worn or set at wrong height.
Tines worn or damaged.
Mow the lawn before dethatching.
Wait until the lawn dries before
dethatching.
Adjust height of tines to achieve
desired result.
Replace tines as needed.
