5.3 CHAIN TENSION
Stretch the chain with the tensioning screw in the indicated direction (a-b).
At each complete rotation of the tensioning screw,
move the chain linearly to ensure that the chain is on
the bar guide. Continue the rotation in the direction
indicated in the figure until the chain tension on the
guide bar.
5.4 CHAIN TENSION CHECK
Checking the correct extent of the chain is done by pulling up the chain in the middle of
the bar. It must resist, and the spurs of the chain must protrude about 1-2 mm above the
guide bar. See Fig. 11.
