Using your fireplace for the first time

Remove  all  the  documents  and  accessories  from  the
fireplace.

Read  these  instructions  carefully  before  using  the
fireplace for the first time.

Complete  the  warranty  certificate  and  send  it  in  to
Rüegg.

The installation must not be used for the first time
until  the  materials  used  have  dried  (surface
coverings,  rendering  etc.).  For  this,  please  refer
to the information provided by the manufacturers
of the products used.

When  using for the first time,  operate  at  low  heat for  the
first few hours. You can then gradually add more wood in
three or so stages.

Do not exceed the maximum loads given on
page 7!

During the first couple of fires of your installation, some
unpleasant odours may appear caused by the
evaporation of some binding agents in the paint.

Please  open  all  windows  near  to  the  fireplace  to
aerate the room!

When  the  fireplace  is  heating  up  or  cooling  down,  the
materials  will  expand  or  contract  and  may  produce
cracking noises, which by their nature cannot be avoided.

Rüegg  engineers  make  every  possible  effort  to  reduce
emissions to a minimum.
