Appendix C: Replacing the F Connector 
Adapter

 

 
 

 

If you need to replace the 3/4’’ KS male to F female port adapter (stinger or hardline adapter), then 
complete the following: 

1

 

Collect the following tools and supplies: 
o

 

Customer-supplied 3/4’’ KS male to F female port adapter (stinger) 

o

 

7/16’’ (11mm) and 3/4’’ (19mm) open-end wrenches 

o

 

No. 2 Phillips screwdriver 

o

 

Torque wrench and/or torque screwdriver with sockets and bits 

o

 

Wire cutters 

o

 

100% silicon sealant

Using a 7/16’’ wrench, unscrew and remove the stinger screw-in access plug (1 in 

Figure 16

) next 

to the stinger F connector (2 in 

Figure 16

).

Using a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the Phillips retaining screw holding down the existing 
stinger pin only enough to release the stinger pin. 

DO NOT 

remove the Phillips retaining screw, 

or it could fall down into the chassis of the T504.

Using the 3/4’’ wrench, unscrew and remove the stinger (2 in 

Figure 16

).

Using the wire cutters, cut the new stinger pin to the same length as the old stinger pin.
