STANDARD WARRANTY
OLIVETTI OFFICE USA, Inc. d/b/a ROYAL CONSUMER INFORMATION PRODUCTS ("Royal"), 379 Campus
Drive, Somerset, New Jersey, 08875 WARRANTS that your NEW Royal product is free of defects of workmanship
and materials. If there is a defect or malfunction of this product, Royal will repair it free of charge as follows:
PARTS: New or comparable rebuilt parts in exchange for defective parts for ONE YEAR from date of customer
purchase.
LABOR: Royal provides labor warranty for 1year from date of end-user purchase. Product must be sent postage
prepaid and insured to Royal. At completion of the repair, the consumer will be responsible for return shipping charges
from Royal, and for any parts or services no longer covered under warranty. This warranty does not apply to persons
who purchased this product second hand or used.
This warranty does not include adjustments, parts and repair by circumstances beyond the control of Royal, including
but not limited to, fire, or other casualty, accident, neglect, abuse, abnormal use or battery leakage damage.
THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESSED WARRANTIES EXCEPT AS STATED HEREIN. AFTER THE PERIOD
OF EXPRESSED WARRANTY SET FORTH HEREIN, THERE ARE NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES
AND THOSE EXCLUDED INCLUDE THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR
PURPOSE. Royal shall NOT be held liable for
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES resulting from any failure, defect or malfunction of this product. Some States do
not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation
of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
WARRANTY PROCEDURES
Royal has taken great care to insure the product you have purchased will provide years of trouble-free service. Should
the product require service within the first 30 days after purchase, Royal strongly recommends you return the product
to the place of purchase for replacement. Please note this 30-day replacement period may be subject to the limitations
of the return policy that has been established by your retailer, may not be available at your retailer, or may be for a
different period of time as established by your retailer. Your retailer may allow exchanges past this 30-day period.
Should this be the case, Royal strongly recommends you return the product to the place of purchase for replacement.
TO OBTAIN SERVICE UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS WARRANTY:
In the event you are unable to obtain a replacement product from your retailer,
please do the following:
1. Send a copy of your original sales receipt showing original purchase date along with your mailing address and a
note describing the nature of the problem to:

2. You will receive a return authorization number within 7-10 business days from the date your return request is
received if it is determined that there is a basis for a replacement product. The return authorization form you
receive will list the return procedures, applicable charges, if any, and the correct shipping address for the returned
product.

6. La destrucción continua de papel de computadora debe limitarse a un máximo
de 20 minutos. Si requiere usar continuamente la destructora a su capacidad
máxima (15 hojas), se recomienda que la haga funcionar por 20 minutos y que
la apague por 25 minutos para dejar que el motor se enfríe adecuadamente.
7. Apague o desenchufe siempre la destructora antes de moverla, limpiarla o vaciar
la papelera.
8. Vacíe la papelera a menudo.
Situaciones de atasco del papel y sobrecarga del motor:
La Royal 15MX está equipada con un dispositivo de inversión automática de
marcha del motor y un circuito de protección contra sobrecargas. El tiempo normal
para destrucción continua de documentos a la capacidad máxima de alimentación
del papel es de 20 minutos. La destructora invierte la marcha del motor para extraer
el papel de la garganta o se apaga automáticamente en caso de que surjan las
siguientes situaciones anómalas:
1. Si la máquina se hace funcionar a su capacidad máxima de 15 hojas en forma
continua por un tiempo prolongado, es decir, más de 20 minutos sin interrupciones.
En esta situación, apague la destructora para dejar que el motor se enfríe a su
temperatura de funcionamiento normal.
2. Si se supera la capacidad de destrucción de documentos, por ejemplo, insertando
más de quince (15) hojas de papel Bond de 9 kg (20 libras) en una pasada, o
si el papel no se introduce debidamente en la ranura de alimentación. En esta
situación remítase a las instrucciones para atascos menores y mayores del papel,
descritas más adelante.
Ambos tipos de operación anómala podrían ocasionar la activación del retroceso
automático del papel o del mecanismo de protección contra sobrecargas térmicas
del motor, que corta el suministro eléctrico a la destructora. Un atasco menor puede
hacer que el papel se alimente en la dirección opuesta y que sea expulsado por la
ranura de alimentación. Un atasco mayor puede provocar que el mecanismo de
protección contra sobrecargas térmicas corte el suministro de CA al motor y
encienda la luz de sobrecarga. No deje nunca que la destructora permanezca en
una situación de atasco si está recibiendo energía de CA. Si esto sucede, haga lo
siguiente:
En caso de sufrir un atasco menor del papel:
1. La función de retroceso automático debe expulsar el papel atascado de la ranura
de alimentación. Quite la parte intacta del papel por la parte superior y elimine
el exceso de tiras de la ranura de alimentación. La luz de sobrecarga (botón de
encendido ROJO) debería apagarse (de modo que el botón cambie a BLANCO);
luego podrá reanudarse el proceso normal de destrucción de documentos.
En caso de sufrir un atasco mayor del papel:
1. Apague la destructora o desenchufe el cable de alimentación de la toma de CA,
luego espere al menos 25 minutos para que se restablezca la protección contra
sobrecarga térmica.
2. Enchufe el cable de alimentación de CA y oprima el botón de encendido. Si
había papel dentro de la ranura de alimentación antes de la sobrecarga, agarre
el exceso desde la parte superior y extráigalo mientras oprime el botón Rev
(retroceso). Para evitar la posibilidad de lesiones graves, absténgase de colocar
los dedos cerca de la ranura de alimentación.
