6.5.5 Setting the time and weekday
The ROTEX ALPHA

23R has an integrated clock for time and day. If the unit is disconnected from the mains, the clock has
a reserve power of around 6 hours. The clock must be reset after the unit was disconnected for a longer period.

6.5.6 Switching timeprogramme
The ROTEX ALPHA
+
23R has three automatic switching time programmes, which can be selected with the rotary switch
"operating mode selection". The switching time programmes control the heating circuit temperatures (direct circuit, mixer circuit).
The storage tank charging circuit is controlled in accordance with the ST/OT contact.
There are essentially two daily switching cycles available for each heating circuit, with the heating system being controlled
differently during day mode and economy mode. The switching cycles saved differ according to the various days of the week
(Monday to Sunday).
The upper and lower limits of the target hot water temperature range are defined via the maximum hot water
temperature and energy-saving hot water temperature parameters (see Chapter 6.6, page 42).

With the ST/OT contact closed (= off-peak tariff) the ROTEX ESU heats the water to the set warm water target
temperature, with the contact open (= standard tariff) it hold the warm water temperature (applies for automatic
programmes only 1–3).
