Changing the boiler control panel
Removal (observe sequence)
The location and arrangement of the components described below are shown in Figure 2-1, page 8 and Figure 5-16, page 31.
1.
Remove the lock screws for the protective cover (see Figure 2-1, page 8, pos. 32) and lift it off.
2.
Close the stopcocks (Figure 2-1, page 8, pos. 35) in the heating flow and return flow, connect the hose to the KFE cock
(Figure 2-1, page 8, pos. 33) and discharge the water pressure from the heat generator.
3.
Disconnect the power cable of the return flow temperature sensor (see pos. 24, Figure 5-2) and remove the heat insulation
at the return connection.
4.
Remove the pressure gauge capillary tube (see Figure 5-3, pos. 30). Use kitchen roll to absorb the small amount of water,
which will escape when the tube is unscrewed.
5.
Open the terminal box (see Figure 5-3, pos. 37) and use the supply line to check whether the system is enabled or not.
DANGER!
Danger of death from electric shock
Live parts can cause fatal burns or injuries on contact.
• Before starting any maintenance work on the central unit, disconnect it from the power supply (switch
off fuse, main switch) and secure it against unintentional restart.
WARNING!
There is a danger of scalding from heating water.
The capillary tube of the pressure gauge is directly connected to the pressurised heating water.
• Before removing the pressure gauge, close the ball cocks at the boiler flow and return flow, and ventilate
the system.
