Documentation Terms and Conventions
The following terms are used throughout this manual:
• “ Frame ” refers to the DFR-8300 series frame that houses the TRA-8206 card.
• All references to the DFR-8300 series frame also include the 10-slot versions
(DFR-8310) and the 20-slot frame versions (DFR-8321 series).
• “ Operator ” and “ User ” both refer to the person who uses the TRA-8206.
• “ Board ” and “ Card ” both refer to the TRA-8206 card itself, including all components
and switches.
• “ System ” and “ Video system ” both refer to the mix of interconnected production and
terminal equipment in which the TRA-8206 operates.
• “ DashBoard ” refer to the DashBoard Control System™.
• The “ Operating Tip ” and “ Note ” boxes are used throughout this manual to provide
additional user information.
