Encoder Configuration • 3–5

Clicking Apply saves the settings and causes them to be used for all modem connections. 
Clicking Cancel leaves the previous settings unchanged.

LAN Connection

Selecting the LAN as the configuration method allows you to enter either the IP address of the 
TES9 or the serial number. The connection proceeds using the selected connection method when 
the OK button is clicked.

After a connection has been established, TES9Set downloads the encoder’s module and stream 
settings. The Connection display is updated with periodic progress reports. The display shows the 
modules which are installed. The setup can be aborted at any time by clicking the Cancel button.

The figure below shows a typical connection display.

Note

 — If you find that you are unable to connect by specifying the serial number of the 

TES9, it is probably because a previous association between the IP address and the serial 
number has been stored in the cache on the computer running the setup software. This 
can be corrected by exiting from the setup software, then shutting down and re-starting 
Microsoft® Windows®.
