3. Handling
Milk Froth:
To produce milk froth, fi ll a mug a third
full with milk. Best results are obtained
when the milk is fi rst heated to 60 °C/
140 °F (takes approx. 20 seconds in a
microwave oven at 600 W).
Note:
Milk should not reach boiling point since this
would change its protein structure making it
impossible to produce froth.
Insert the clean spiral whisk into the
milk so that it just skims over the base
of the mug without touching it. Switch
to Speed II and hold the utensil steadi-
ly in the mug. The fi nest and cream-
iest results will be obtained by keeping
the spiral whisk low in the liquid milk
and away from the froth forming. The
process needs approx. 15 to 30 sec-
onds depending on the consistency
desired. Skimmed milk is suitable for
frothing but full cream milk will give
the creamiest results. Froth can also
be produced from soya based milk, as
well as from goat, sheep and lactose-
free milk varieties.
Once the desired consistency has been
achieved, be careful to fi rst switch off
the Dual Speed Frother before remov-
ing it from the mug.
