First heat up the casserole with max. 1.5 litres of superior quality vegetable oil
(approx 160 °C / 320 °F) or stock, on a cooker. Transfer the casserole onto the
Rechaud as soon as the oil or stock has reached the desired temperature. Place
the Fondue ring onto the casserole and put the forks into their positions in the ring.
Note:
The attachments from synthetic material for fixing the forks can be detached. To
remove the attachment, apply light force to slide it off over the prongs of the fork.
Caution: For remounting the attachment, slide it back over the fork prongs (away
from your body) with the attachment’s protrusion pointing toward the prongs. The
attachment can not be laterally clipped on.
5. Use of Paste Fuel Burner
Before opening the burner make sure that there is no fire burning and the burner has
cooled off. Turn the upper part of the Paste Fuel Burner anti-clockwise and lift off the
lower case. Insert commercially available chafing fuel for fondues (80 g cups ethanol
paste) and carefully remove plastic cover. Now place upper part on lower case and
close it. Next, place Paste Fuel Burner in portable stove and ignite fuel paste with a
stick lighter. In the upper part, the flame can be regulated (large openings = large
flame – small openings = small flame).
Caution!
The use of other fuels such as methylated spirit or alcohol is forbidden.
Caution!
The Fondue may get hot while in use! Especially the handles of the casserole
and the Paste Fuel Burner may become heated, please use hot gloves.
After using the fondue, extinguish the flame by using the attached stainless steel cover.
Simply place it on the flame until it is completely smothered.
Please allow the complete fondue cool off (at least 1 hour) before it can be dismantled.
