DNS Server:
The DNS server translates a domain or website name into a
uniform resource locator (URL), or Internet address. There are two options to
choose from: From ISP or User-Defined. Select From ISP to retrieve the DNS
address value from the ISP; select User-Defined to assign a custom DNS server
address.
CONFIGURATION GUIDE
Internet – PPPoE
PPPoE:
Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) is used mainly by ISPs that
provide DSL modems to connect to the Internet.

Login:
Enter the username assigned by an ISP.
•
Password:
Enter the password assigned by an ISP.
•
Service Name:
Enter the service name of an ISP (optional).
•
MTU:
Enter the maximum transmission unit (MTU). The MTU specifies the
largest packet size permitted for an internet transmission (PPPoE default:
1492). The MTU size can be set between 512 and 1492.

Authentication Type:
Select the type of authentication provided by the ISP:
Auto, PAP, or CHAP. If unsure of the best setting, select Auto.

Type:
Configure the connection type between the router and the ISP. Choose
between Keep Connection, Automatic Connection or Manual Connection.
•
Idle Timeout:
Configure the maximum idle time (1 to 1,000 minutes) allowed
for an inactive connection.

to discard the changes.
