DESCRIPTION
Compressed air supply, emergency
actuation
2.7.1 Compressed Air Supply
A shut-off valve (J163) and a condensate separator (Y163) for
firefighting-related compressed air consumers are installed on
the inlet of the electropneumatic control valves.
The shut-off valve (J163) separates all firefighting-related
compressed air consumers from the chassis.
IMPORTANT!
The shut-off valve (J163) must always be open for normal
pump operation!
If the shut-off valve (J163) is closed, the electropneumatic
control valves can no longer undergo emergency actuation!
The shut-off valve (J163) may be closed only for maintenance
and repair work.
2.7.2 Emergency Actuation of the Electropneumatic
Control Valves
If an electrical selector switch fails, the associated pneumatic
valve can undergo emergency actuation. However, the
compressed air supply of the pneumatic block must be ensured.
Procedure:
The individual valves are gathered together into a valve block
and are attached in the pump compartment. The valves are
labeled according to their function. The valve switches by
pressing and turning the small screw (Z164) by 90° to the left or
right.
The number of valves depends on the design of the pump
system.
