For accurate temperature correction, the temperature reading may
need adjustment. The following steps should be performed with the
sensor on line or in a grab sample near the operating temperature.
Observe the analyzer temperature reading. Make sure the sensor has accli-
mated to the process temperature. Compare the analyzer temperature to a
calibrated temperature reading device. Proceed to the next step if the read-
ing requires adjustment.
1.
From the operating display, press any key and press Enter (F4) to
access calibration menu. With the cursor on “Adjust temperature”
press Enter (F4).
NOTE
The hold mode screen will appear if the output hold function
is activated in
. Changing the hold mode to ON
holds the outputs and relays in a fixed state to avoid process
upsets to a control system.
2.
Press enter to obtain the calibration menu. Press More (F3) on this
display to adjust the temperature. Then using the cursor keys, input
the correct temperature value and press Enter (F4). The analyzer
will enter the value into memory. Press Exit (F1) to return to the tem-
perature menu.
NOTE
The temperature compensation can be changed to either
automatic or manual.
The manual temperature value need only be entered if the temper-
ature compensation setting is manual. In this case, a value may be
entered between –15 and 200°C (5 and 392°F). Pressing the back
arrow key will display the +/- segment.
Pressing Exit (F1) returns the cursor to the calibration menu.
NOTE
When the temperature compensation setting is manual, all
temperature specific faults are disabled.
NOTE
Before exiting the calibration mode, if hold mode is ON, be
certain to install the sensor back in the process and change
the setting to OFF to resume normal operation. To access
the hold menu, press any key to display the main menu,
