3.1 Protecting the rear derailleur
The chain derailleur protection wrap is meant to to make it easier to pack up the derailleur and the chain,
while also protecting it during transport. The area is then also protected against dirt and chain oil.
1. Wrap the padded protection wrap once around the
chainstay and fasten it using the first Velcro strip.
2. Tension the derailleur hanger towards the front and
fasten with the small side strap.
Alternatively, the rear derailleur can also be removed from
the derailleur hanger.
3. Place the chain with the derailleur hanger in the
protection wrap.
4. Fold over the wrap and fasten it.
5. Pull the cords tight to secure the chain and the derailleur
hanger.
