ture. The high (
) and low (
) tolerance limits are the same as for the "Temperature OK" function
(TO bit
section 8.6.6 "Temperature OK (TO)" on page 28). The limits are set to -10 K and +10 K by default.
If the ACTUAL temperature is inside the specified tolerance band when the START signal is activated, the tem-
perature diagnosis is activated as well. If the ACTUAL temperature leaves the tolerance band, the corresponding
error code (307, 308) appears and the alarm relay is switched (
section 8.19 "Error messages" on page 67).
If the temperature diagnosis is not activated by the time the START signal is deactivated (i.e. if the ACTUAL tem-
perature does not exceed the high or low tolerance limit), the corresponding error code (309, 310) appears and
the alarm relay is switched.
An additional delay time (0..9.99 s) can be set in the parameter data (EDS file). The first time the low tolerance
limit is exceeded, the temperature diagnosis is not activated until the configured delay time has elapsed. The tem-
perature diagnosis function can thus be selectively deactivated, e.g. if the temperature drops temporarily owing to
the closure of the sealing jaws.
The high and low tolerance limits cannot be set in the ROPEX visualization software. The same limits apply as
with the TO bit. They can only be set in the parameter data (
section 8.7 "Parameter object (class: 0x0F)" on
8.7.12 Heatup timeout
An additional heatup timeout can be activated in the parameter data (EDS file).
This timeout starts when the ST bit is set. The UPT-6011 then monitors the time required for the ACTUAL temper-
ature to reach 95% of the SET temperature. If this time is longer than the configured time, the corresponding error
code (304) appears and the alarm relay is switched (
section 8.19 "Error messages" on page 67).
