ACCESSORIES :
Debris collection bag
Cable clip
We recommend that you purchase your
accessories from the same store that sold you
the tool. Use good quality accessories marked
with a well-known brand name. Choose the
type according to the work you intend to
undertake. Refer to the accessory packaging
for further details. Store personnel can assist
you and offer advice.
ASSEMBLY
Remove all the contents from the box and
check all the parts again the components and
controls list in the manual. If any parts are
found to be missing contact the supplier or
service centre.
FITTING THE LOWER HANDLE (Fig A)

Place the ends of the lower handles into the
holes on either side of the dethatcher and
secure with the two nuts bolts and washers
provided.
FITTING THE UPPER HANDLE TO THE
LOWER HANDLE (Fig B)
Locate the upper handle ensuring that the
lock off button in the switch housing is facing
outwards. Slide the black plastic cable safety
clip onto the main handle. This is provided
to prevent any strain being exerted on the
switch housing. Ensure that the upper handle
is aligned correctly with the lower handle and
insert the supplied bolts through the holes. Fit
the washer and securing knob and tighten (do
not over-tighten).

From a loop in the mains cable and insert
through the black plastic cable safety clip and
locate the loop over the central pin, pull tight
to secure the cable. Where the two sides of
the cable loop exit the safety clip locate these
into the two lower hooks. (Fig C)

Attach the cable to the handles using the
clips provided ensuring that the cable is
not trapped between the upper and lower
handles.
GRASS COLLENTION (Fig D1, D2, D3)
To assemble the debris collection bag
assemble the frame as shown, insert the
frame into bag (ensuring the handle is outside
of the bag).
Attach the bag to the frame using the clips
provided. Raise the flap at the rear of the
dethatcher and attach the debris collection
bag. To remove the debris collection bag,
raise the flap to reveal the handle. Lift the
debris collecting bag should be emptied
frequently to ensure efficient collection of the
grass cuttings.
