OPERATION
SWITCHING ON&OFF
Connect the dethatcher to the mains supply
using residual current of not more than 30mA.
Check that the residual current device (R.C.D)
(not supplies) with a tripping current of not
more than 30mA. Check that the residual
current device (R.C.D.) is operating correctly.
Check the operation of the (R.C.D.) before
each use.
Starting
This scarfier is fitted with s safety lock-off
button to prevent accidental starting. To start
the machine press and hold in the safety lock
button (Fig E) located in the switch housing
then squeeze the switch lever towards the
upper handle (Fig F).
Continue to squeeze the switch lever towards
the upper handle and release the safety lock
button.

Important
Do not operate the start. Stop lever before
pressing in the lock-off button. Do not use the
start/stop lever repeatedly.
Stopping
To stop the machine, release the start/stop
lever.
Safe scarifying practice
Start at the edges of the power point so that
the cable is laid out onto area of the lawn that
has already been raked.
Do not overload the dethatcher
If your lawn has become overgrown the long
thick grass could cause the motor speed to
drop, you will hear a change in the sound of
the motor. If the motor speed drops you could
overload your dethatcher, which could result
in damage to the motor.
