Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING: Hazard of injury!
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
• Never immerse the appliance, power cord and mains plug in
water or clean them under running water!
NOTE:
For ensuring a constant grinding quality, we recommend cleaning the coffee
mill regularly.
• Clean the base unit of the appliance with a damp tissue and wipe it dry.
• Clean the beans container as well as the powder container and the corresponding lids in hot
water with some dishwashing detergent. Before the next use, all accessory parts must be
completely dry.
• Clean the grinder by means of the enclosed cleaning brush. The cleaning brush is placed in the
lid of the beans container. For easy cleaning, the grinding plunger can be detached.
(See page 21 “Mounting/dismounting the grinding plunger”).
• Clean the powder outlet regularly. Loosen sticking powder carefully with the enclosed cleaning
brush (placed in the lid of the beans container) and clean the powder outlet thoroughly.
NOTE:
The fi ner the grinding degree and the more oil-bearing the coffee/espresso
powder, the more often the powder outlet should be cleaned.
TIP:
You can also blow and clean the conical burr grinder with a commercial compressed
air spray.
• Do not use any abrasives or solvents!
• Never use a steam jet appliance for cleaning!
7.) Stop the grinding process prematurely
• By briefl y tapping the
ON/START/STOP
sensor button, the grinding process can be
stopped prematurely.
• The appliance stops the grinding process and returns to operation mode.
The last chosen setting is shown at the display.
The backlighting of all sensor keys is active.
8.) Permanent switch-off
For a permanent and safe switch-off disconnect the power
plug from the mains after each use!
