Safety Instructions 

These operating instructions are part of the device and must be available to operating 
personnel at all times. All safety instructions and remarks must be observed. 

 

 

 

 

 

Improper or careless handling can be fatal. 

● 

Only use the absorbing clamp for the applications described in this user manual. 

● 

Only authorized and trained specialists are permitted to use the absorbing clamp. 

● 

Never use the absorbing clamp if the test cable

’s insulation is damaged or 

missing. Check the insulation before putting the device into operation. In the case 
of a fault, there may be dangerously high voltage on the housing of the EUT or a 
flashover may occur when the test cable is touched. 

● 

The absorbing clamp is not protected against overloading. The maximum 
permissible DC current or peak value of AC current must not exceed 30 A. 

● 

Only operate the equipment in dry surroundings. Allow any condensation to 
evaporate before putting the instrument into operation. 

● 

The device is not suitable for operation in explosive atmosphere. 

● 

Only use approved accessory items, connectors, adapters, etc. to ensure safe 
operation.  

● 

Do not place the product on surfaces that are unstable or cannot hold weight. 
Make sure that the clamp cannot roll unintentionally. 

 

 

 

The device was developed and manufactured in line with ISO 9001 and DIN EN 
61010-1:2011.
