Connecting to Power

CLIPSTER

Connecting to Power

For safety information, see "Connecting to Power"  on page 9.

Perform the following steps:

1.

Plug the AC power cable into the AC power connector on the rear panel 
of the product. Only use the AC power cable delivered with the product.

2.

Plug the AC power cable into a power outlet with ground contact. The 
required ratings are listed in the data sheet.

3.

If necessary, also ground the product using the grounding terminal.

4.

Install any other remaining cables before switching on the product.

Operating the System

This chapter describes how to operate the CLIPSTER

 

hardware, i.e. it is 

explained how to start the system and how to shut it down. For both proce-
dures you have to use the power switch of the operation items at the front of 
the system.

Starting the System

After a proper installation of the system you may start the R&S  system at 
any time.

Perform the following steps:

Press the power switch to turn on the system.

The system will be started. As with any standard computer after initial 

booting, the system begins to load the installed operating system. 
When the operating system has finished its loading, you can begin to 
work with the R&S system right away.
