To change these settings, follow the instructions provided
in Paragraph 4.1.1
p. 28 to access the complete parame-
ter list, then access Domestic hot water menu; then scroll
through the pages to view the parameters shown in Table
5.3
p. 38 and eventually access the pages to be able to
select and edit the parameters of interest.
For information about the choice of operating
mode, the setpoint setting and time programming,
refer to Paragraph 5.2.2
p. 38. For information
about the legionella function, refer to Paragraph
5.2.2
Operating mode selection, DHW setpoint
and time program setting
The operating mode for DHW production can be set to
the following values:
▶
Off: DHW service is inactive.
▶
On: DHW production with the K18 unit and (if pres-
ent) the auxiliary boiler is active with the nominal or
reduced setpoint, depending on the value of the pa-
rameter Release and its time programming, if any.
▶
Eco: DHW production with the K18 unit and (if pres-
ent) the auxiliary boiler is always active with the re-
duced setpoint.
The Release parameter is preconfigured to handle DHW
production 24 hours a day at nominal level. If you wish
to reduce the setpoint for certain times of the day (e.g. at
night) and/or days of the week, the parameter can be set
to the following values:
▶
24h/day: production at the nominal setpoint 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week.
▶
All time programs HC/CC: production at the nominal
setpoint at all times in which at least one of the time
programs of the heating circuits is set to the comfort
room setpoint; production at the reduced setpoint
otherwise.
The system switches from reduced to nominal set-
point one hour ahead of switching from reduced to
comfort room setpoint in the heating circuits time
programs.
▶
Time program 4/DHW: production at nominal or re-
duced setpoint depending on time program 4 (specif-
ic for DHW). This provides an additional time program
for DHW which is independent of the heating circuit
time programs.
To set the operating mode, the DHW setpoint and the
parameter Release, proceed as described in Paragraph
5.2.1
p. 38 to edit parameters 1600 (Operating mode),
1610 (Nominal setpoint), 1612 (Reduced setpoint) and
1620 (Release).
The operating mode and the nominal setpoint can
easily be modified at a later time by the end user.
See the User manual for further details.
If parameter Release is set to Time program 4/DHW, the
preconfigured time programming provides for a first daily
time slot at nominal from 00:00 to 05:00 and a second
from 17:00 to 21:00. To change this setting:
1. If needed, follow instructions in Paragraph 4.1.1 p. 28
to access the complete parameter list, then access
Time program 4/DHW menu.
2. Select the Set time program field, then follow the
instructions provided in the System controller User
manual to proceed with programming.
5.2.3
Setting the legionella function
To activate the legionella function, use the Legionella
function parameter, which takes the following values:
▶
Off: Legionella function inactive
▶
Periodically: The function is performed every n days,
with n editable by a specific parameter; not recom-
mended.
▶
Fixed weekday: The function is performed once a
week on the day specified by the appropriate param-
eter.
The legionella function is preconfigured as inac-
tive.
