The pipe work between the waste outlet elbow and the tee for the suds saver has to have a fall of between 1.5-5
degrees ( as per Standard) on final installation of the unit in a domestic house (see image below).

2.7 ISOLATING VALVES
o
The flow from any water mains supply to any water service pipe, including the flow within the water service pipes,
shall be controlled by means of isolating valves, fixed in the following locations (f) at each appliance.

4.35.2.7 Laundry troughs (tubs)
o
Laundry troughs (tubs) shall be fitted with a minimum DN 40, trap and discharge pipe unless connected to a floor.
o
4.35.2.10 Clothes-washing machines
o
The pumped discharge from domestic clothes-washing machines shall be connected (see Figure 4.35.2.10)—(b)
into a trapped waste pipe.
o
