13. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
The following maintenance jobs apply when the engine is operated correctly under normal conditions.
The indicated maintenance intervals are by no means guarantees for maintenance free operations dur-
ing these intervals.
For example, if the engine is operated in extremely dusty conditions, the air cleaner should be cleaned
every day instead of every 50 hours.

1) Clean away dust and chaff from engine.
Governor linkage is especially sensitive to dust.
2) Check fuel leakage from fuel system. If any,
retighten fasteners or replace necessary parts.
3) Inspect for loose hardware and retighten if
necessary.
Loose bolts and nuts may come off and result in
breakage of other parts.
4) Check oil level and add up to full mark.
