Having the 3D printer unpacked and the software installed, you should check the performance.
Start
Repetier-Host
.
1. Plug the USB cable in.
2. Click [Connect]. The button gets green (and its title changes to Disconnect), which means the
connection is established.
3. Connect the power supply unit. A very important button [Emergency Stop] activates. You
should always be ready to click it, if something goes wrong during the movement.
4. Select the [Manual Control] tab. Check the extruder: set the temperature to be 100°C. and see
if thermal resistor measures the temperature correctly. On the graduated dial, the temperature
should be up to 100°C.
5. Switch on the fan. Increase the extruder temperature up to 175°C.
WARNING:
Be very careful, as the temperature is extremely high. Make sure that manual
filament feed will not work until the extruder is heated up to 175°C.
6. Check the direction of movement on Х axis. Move the print bed in the po10 mm using
the X-axis displacement control button. The print bed should move on X axis in the direction
opposite to the overtravel-limit switch.
7. Perform the same check for Y axis.
8. Press the button of zero position on X axis. The print bed should move up to the overtravel-
limit switch, bounce a little back, and arrive back to the switch — then “zero” will be set in the
positioning window.
9. Do the same for the Y axis.
10. With the extruder heated, press the filament feed 10 mm. The filament should be fed
through the extruder nozzle.
