ning tools and aids to building.
Sequence of assembly
Study the illustrations and the associated brief texts to gain
an understanding of how the model goes together.
Adhesives (for repairs)
Use robbe Speed Type 2 cyano-acrylate glue (“cyano”) with
the associated activator (“kicker”) for all repairs to this
model.
All directions, such as “right-hand”, are as seen from the
tail of the model, looking forward.
Model variants
The model can be built either as a glider or as a powered
glider. The appropriate fuselage nose cone for the glider
version is supplied as standard. The model can be conver-
ted into a powered glider at any time, i.e. during construc-
tion or subsequently.
The landing skid can be used as a tow-hook for the glider
version.
Various stages of construction will be superfluous, depen-
ding on the version you have decided to build. Simply skip
the irrelevant sections.
Radio control system
You need a radio control system with at least four channels
and four servos for this model. For the powered version you
also require an electronic speed controller with BEC func-
tion.
Please consider the arrangement of the receiving system
components before you start construction.
If you wish to use a system other than the one we recom-
mend, you can still keep to the arrangement shown, but you
may have to make allowance for minor differences in com-
ponent sizes.
Set the servos to centre (neutral) from the transmitter (sticks
and trims central) before you start construction. If the ser-
vos are fitted with output levers or discs, remove them at
this stage.
Powered glider:
be sure to move the throttle stick to the
“motor off” position before switching the system on. Always
switch the transmitter on first, and only then connect the
flight battery.
Reverse the procedure when switching off: disconnect the
battery from the speed controller, and only then switch the
transmitter off.
Painting, decals
It is not necessary to paint the model.
When applying the decals you can emulate the arrangement
shown in the kit box illustration.
Notes on the building instructions
Depending on the version of the model you have purcha-
sed, the servos described and shown in the instructions
may not be the same as those included with your model or
recommended for it.
The recommended accessories for the kit version are not
identical to the components supplied in the ARF and RTF
versions. Please note the recommendations in the instruc-
tions and the accessory sheet.

Installing the wing-mounted aileron servos
Fig. 1
- Fit the output arms on opposite sides of the two aileron
servos, forming a mirror-image pair.
Fig. 2
- Open up the cable ducts to accept the servo leads.
Fig. 3
- Install the aileron servos, deploying the leads under the
wing spar as shown.
Fig. 4
- Connect the servo extension leads. Cut the cable duct
deeper to accept the connectors.
Fig. 5
- Run the servo extension leads along the lead ducts, and
secure them with strips of adhesive tape.
Fig. 6
- Mount the swivel pushrod connectors on the aileron
horns.
- Check that the servos are at neutral. Connect the aileron
pushrods, and run the plain end through the swivel pus-
hrod connectors.
- Hold the ailerons at neutral, and tighten the grubscrews in
the swivel connectors to secure them.
Receiving system in the fuselage
Fig. 7
- Cut down the output arms of the rudder and elevators
servos and fit them on the servos as shown.
