Alde Engine Heat Exchanger
The Alde system on the CS is provisioned with an engine heat exchanger. This heat exchanger can preheat your engine in
cold temps, or it can use the engine heat to heat the cabin and provide hot water.

The heat exchanger valve. Valve open
(as shown) allows the heat exchange to
take place.
The switch is located
on the inboard side of
the passenger seat
pedestal
To use the engine heat to heat the cabin and water while driving, open the valve, and set the Alde to recirculate with no heat.
To use the Alde to pre-heat the engine in severely cold environments, turn the Alde on to heat, open the valve, and turn on
the switch. It may take an hour or two for the pre-heat to be effective, depending on ambient temperatures.
To prevent any engine heat from warming the cabin (as in hot climates), shut off the heat exchanger valve.
