Installation
Insert the external temperature sensor at the rear on the CMC III PU connection (fig. 1, item 9)
and route the measuring sensor to the required measuring point.
Connect the external power pack (7030.060) to the 24 V power supply connection (fig. 3,
item 14).
The device start takes approx. 1 minute. During this time, the status display flashes blue in irreg-
ular intervals (fig. 3, item 3).
The device is operational when the status display lights green continually.
If, after completion of the switch-on process, the status display flashes red-blue, keep the "C" key
pressed to acknowledge pending messages (fig. 3, item 1).
The status display then lights green continually and the device is operational.
If the installation is not successful: see section 1.1.
Note:
The voltage sources at positions 7, 10, 12, 13 and 16 (fig. 3) must satisfy the Limited
Power Source (LPS) requirements in accordance with UL 60950 and observe the limit
values mentioned above.
Note:
The unit is free from power only after all power sources have been disconnected!
Note:
The internal temperature sensor will be disabled when the external temperature sen-
sor is inserted.
Note:
The external temperature sensor must be connected before the CMC III PU is started.
If the external temperature sensor is connected during running operations, the
CMC III PU must be restarted so that the external temperature sensor is detected and
used.
