STRAP SYSTEM BARRIER
OPERATION CONTINUED
Single Strap Restraining Kit
Placement and Tensioning
Unroll the strap and drop the loop end of the
strap around the tensioner on the far end.
Go back to the storage side and manually pull
the loose strap through the tensioner.
Rotate the tensioner by hand to begin to tighten
the strap. Insert the tensioner bar into the
bottom of the tensioner and continue to tension
the strap. It will be necessary to insert the lock
pin into the holes at the top of the tensioner and
tensioner bracket in order to reposition the
tensioner bar.
Once the tensioner bar is repositioned, remove
the lock pin to continue tensioning the strap.
Tension the strap until it is completely horizontal
and it does not have any slack or sag. Fully
insert the lock pin through the tensioner and
tensioner bracket.
Retraction
Insert the tensioner bar into the bottom of the
tensioner and pull on the bar to relieve
pressure on the lock pin. Remove the lock pin
and allow the strap to go slack.
Store the tensioner bar. Go to the other side of
the system and remove the strap from the
tensioner. If the storage system is used, roll the
strap up with the storage rod. If the storage
system is not used, pick up the strap and
remove it to allow access to the opening.
NOTICE
The barrier straps should be inspected on a
regular basis. They should be replaced when
there are signs of wear. Stretching, snags,
fraying and punctures are all indications that
the straps should be replaced.
