Burner start-up
Feed electricity to the burner via the disconnecting switch on
the boiler panel.
Close the thermostats/pressure switches.
Close the local controls and position the selector 1)(Fig. 45) to
“
LOCAL
”.
When the limit thermostat (TL) is closed, the “
CALL FOR
HEAT
” 2)(Fig. 45) signal must be on and the burner starts the
starting cycle.
NOTE:
for further information, please refer to the specific instruction
of the control box.

Burner firing
Having completed the checks indicated in the previous heading,
the ignition pilot of the burner should fire.
Set switch 1)(Fig. 46) to “LOCAL”.
Set switch 2)(Fig. 46) to the correct fuel.
If the motor starts but the flame does not appear and the flame
safeguard goes into lock-out, reset and wait for a new firing at-
tempt.
Check the control/ adjustment of the pilot (valve).
Having adjusted the pilot, reconnect the main valve and ignite the
main flame; it might require several attempts to purge the air from
the gas lines or to adjust the valve with little gas.
Once the burner has fired, now proceed with calibration operations.
DANGER
Make sure that the lights or testers connected to the
solenoids, or the pilot lights on the solenoids them-
selves, indicate that no voltage is present. If voltage
is present, stop the burner immediately and check
the electrical connections.
