Unpacking
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
injury from unexpected starting
or electrical shock, do not plug
the power cord in until all assem-
bly and alignment steps are com-
plete. The power cord must
remain unplugged whenever you
are working on the saw.
1. Separate saw and all parts from pack-
ing materials and check each one with
the illustration and the “List of Loose
Parts” to make certain all items are
accounted for, before discarding any
packing material.
WARNING: If any parts are miss-
ing, do not attempt to assemble
the band saw, plug in the power
cord, or turn the switch on until
the missing parts are obtained
and are installed correctly.
2. Sometimes small parts get lost in pack-
aging materials. Do not throw away
any packaging until your saw is put
together. Contact 1-800-4-RIDGID if
any parts are damaged or missing.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
injury from unexpected saw or
work movement, leveling feet
must be adjusted so that saw
does not rock.
