The press fold motor reverses, and the unit increases pressure on the stack as it moves and applies
creasing on the remainder of the saddle shape as it moves from [C] to [A].
When the top of the side-to-side fold unit reaches the side-to-side fold unit HP sensor, the unit ascends
to the upper path and releases pressure on the center of the stack.
Paper Guide Unit
As each stapled copy exits the finisher, it contacts the copy ahead of it already on the shift tray, and the
paper guide unit [A] prevents the copies from becoming entangled on the shift tray.
The paper guide motor drives the paper guide cover to reduce the amount of curl and prevent the
leading edges from curling and improve the output of stapled copies on the shift tray.

Paper Guide Removal
The paper guide unit is provided with the paper guide covers [A] at the initial position for users who
want to take advantage of the improved stacking, but these covers can be removed. (Even with the
covers removed, output will be done correctly even if the paper guides touch during operation.)
