7.2 IMAGE PROCESSING PATH
The following image processing is for the scanner with the optional IPU.
Dynamic Threshold
A suitable threshold value is determined based on the original.
Auto Photo/Letter Separation
Generally, text areas have strong contrast between the image and the background.
In photo areas, mid-range gray areas are common. By using these characteristics,
the original image is separated into text and photo areas.
Section Area
The original image is separated into specified areas. Each area is processed using
the specified scanning mode.
