Symptom:
The problem cannot be solved with the procedures in the user’s manual.
Possible Causes:
•
Damaged separation unit
•
Damaged paper transport drum assy
•
Damaged paper feed-out unit
•
Defective paper transport motor or paper feed motor
•
Defective read sensor or feed-out sensor
•
Defective SCU, IOB or ADU
Procedure:
First of all, check the sensors with demonstration and sensor check mode. See
Service Level Functions – Dip Switch Settings.
Are all the sensors OK?
Yes
No
Is the cable damaged?
Yes
No
Replace the sensor.
Replace the cable.
Does the jam always happen at the same position?
Yes
No
Are the 24-volt lines from the PSU to the IOB (24VADU) or from
the IOB to the ADF OK?
Yes
No
Is the cable damaged?
Yes
No
Replace the PSU.
Replace the cable.
Is the 24-volt line from the ADU to the paper transport motor OK?
Yes
No
Is the cable damaged?
Yes
No
Replace the ADU.
Replace the cable.
Replace the paper transport motor.
NOTE: If the feed motor is defective, a “Document Table Error” is
generated.
Did the jam occur at the paper transport drum assy?
Yes
No
Replace the paper feed-out assy.
Replace the paper transport drum assy.
