PROCEDURES

There are two types of troubleshooting procedure.

•

  For user-visible error conditions that the user could not clear up

•

  For technician level error conditions

6.4.1  USER-VISIBLE ERROR CONDITIONS

ADF Interlock Switch Open

Symptom:

The problem cannot be solved with the procedures in the user’s manual.

Possible Causes:

•

 Defective ADF interlock switch

•

  Damaged cable between the ADF interlock switch and the PSU

Procedure:

Does 24 volts come to the ADF cover interlock switch?
Yes

No
Is the cable damaged?
Yes

No
Replace the PSU.

Replace the cable.

Replace the ADF interlock switch.
