Tools (hanging pan etc.) suspended from the hook are regarded as a
tare
(pan). Weights equal to the
weighing capacity cannot be measured.
Measurable weight = Weighing capacity – Total weight of tools suspended

Be sure to close the cover of the hanging hook when not in use to prevent dust from entering the
balance.

Loosen the screw and turn the
cover 90°. Then tighten the screw
to secure the cover.
