IV. GETTING STARTED
Before any intervention on product, ensure that product is disconnected form its
power source.
4.1- Unpacking
- Remove product from its packaging.
- Check that product and accessories are not damage
4.2- Installation
1. Screw the rotating nut (4) onto the pump outlet, then screw the unit on the rotating nut.
The water inlet on the unit can be recognized by its female thread and the metal filter.
2. Install your discharge hose to the unit’s outlet (3).
3. Electrical connection: check that the power of your pump does not exceed the maximum
permissible power of the unit (refer to the technical data).
The dry running protection system can be connected either directly to the pump or to a switch.
Each brand of pump may have different electrical connections; you should refer to the instruction
manual supplied with your pump or your switch.
The dry running protection system must be connected in the same way as the existing power cord.
4. After checking that the electrical connections have been properly made and the cover is closed, fill
in the suction hose and the pump with water and start the pump by connecting the power plug.
WARNING: Whenever the water level is below the priming water level at which the
pump is placed, a suction strainer equipped with a check valve is absolutely essential.
This valve allows the filling of the hose during its first use and prevents it from emptying
when the pump stops.
5. The installation is deemed correct if the water flow is steady and the pump runs continuously.
If the unit triggers and cuts the pump power, try rebooting a few times.
If the problem persists, check that there is water in the system and especially in the suction pipe and
the pump.

V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
The dry running protection system is intended to automatically stop the pump when water defaults.
Do not use the product for any other purpose outside the description of this instructions manual.
5.2- Operation
After both connection (electrical and hoses connections) and priming the suction pipeline, you can
connect the unit to the power mains.
IMPORTANT: The pump will start immediately. The button (1) is not an On/Off switch.
If the pump stops after a few seconds, the priming is incomplete. It is necessary to reset the button (1)
until the pump has its normal flow.
Once these conditions are met, your pump will operate normally.
If after several rebooting attempts, the system continues to turn the power off, resume the installation
from step 4 and refer to "TROUBLESHOOTING" section.
NOTE: Should the protection trigger, you will have to switch off the pump and restart it through
pump’s the main command switch.
