Attention: monitoring of the photocells inputs (PHOT 1/PHOT 2) can be enabled with DIP 9 to
ON, or disabled with DIP 9 to OFF.
WARNING: If the AUTOTEST feature is enabled and only one photocell is connected, a jumper
must be made between the PHOT 1 and PHOT 2 terminals. If the jumper is not made,
the AUTOTEST fails and the gate will not move.
ALARM AUTOTEST PHOTOCELLS FAILED (DIP 7 ON)
At each command, if the photocell monitoring fails, an alarm is triggered by the buzzer which
emits 4 tones every 5 s. In this condition the barrier remains firm. Only by repairing the
photocell and pressing one of the enabled commands, operation can be restored.
SAFETY EDGE (COM A+/EDGE) - Safety function PL “b” according to EN13849-1
During closing, if Safety edge is pressed, it reverses the opening motion. If the safety edge
remains busy, it does not allow closure.
If the safety edge is not installed, jump the COM A+/EDGE terminals.
SAFETY EDGE ALARM
The flasher (fixed or flashing according to DIP13) and the buzzer are activated with 2 tones
every 5 s for one minute.
STOP BUTTON (COM A+/STOP) - Safety function PL “b” according to EN13849-1
During the movement of the barrier the STOP button stops it.
If the STOP button is pressed fully open (or partially using the pedestrian control), automatic
closing will be temporarily disabled (if enabled by TCA trimmer with DL11 LED on). It will
therefore be necessary to give a new command to close the barrier.
The automatic closing will be reactivated when the barrier has closed again (if it was enabled
by TCA trimmer with DL11 LED on).
HOLD-TO-RUN COMMAND OPERATION (with command maintained) IN CASE OF FAILURE OF THE
SAFETY DEVICES
If the edge is broken or engaged for more than 5 s, or if the photocell is faulty or engaged for
more than 60 seconds, the OPEN 1, OPEN 2, CLOSE and START commands will only operate with
maintained command.
The activation signaling of this operation is given by the DL1 led that flashes.
This operation allows opening or closing only by keeping the control buttons pressed. The radio
command and automatic closing are excluded because their operation is not permitted by the
standards.
When the safety contacts are reset, the automatic or step-by-step operation is automatically
re-enabled after 1 s, and therefore the radio control and automatic closing are resumed.
Note 1: during this operation in the event of a coast fault (or photocells) the photocells (or
edge) still operate interrupting the maneuver in progress.
Note 2: the STOP button is not considered a safety to be bypassed in this mode, so if it is
pressed or broken, it does not allow any maneuver.
The maneuver with maintained command is exclusively an emergency maneuver that must
be carried out for short periods and with the visual safety of the automatism movement.
Faulty protections must be restored as soon as possible for correct operation.
VISUAL AND SOUND ALARMS
BLINKER 230V 40W
DIP 13 ON =>
The blinker is power supplied at intermittence, with 500 ms ON/OFF blinks during
opening and 250 ms ON/OFF blinks during closure.
In case of safety-edge alarm, the blinker output changes intermittence turning to 2 short
blinks before going OFF for 2 s.
BUZZER
It has the task of signaling the intervention of the safety devices, the status of the alarms and
the state of memorization and cancellation of radio codes.
SIGNAL - OPEN BARRIER WARNING LIGHT - 12 Vdc 3 W MAX (SIGN. +/SIGN. -)
It has the task of signaling when the barrier is open, partially open or in any case not completely
closed. It turns OFF only when the barrier is completely closed.
During the opening, SIGNAL flashes slowly.
When the barrier is still or open, SIGNAL is switched on permanently.
During the closing SIGNAL flashes quickly
N.B .: Max 3 W. If you exceed the warning lights, the logic of the picture will be compromised
with possible block of operations.

- All the inputs must be used as clean contacts given that the power supply is generated
internally (safe voltage) in the card and it is set in a way to guarantee the use of the double
insulation and reinforced compared to parts with hazardous voltage.
- Any external circuits connected to the outputs of the control board, must be carried out to
make sure the double or reinforced insulation is used compared to parts with hazardous
voltage.
- All the inputs are run by a programmed integrated circuit which carries out an auto-test at
every start-up operation.
MAINTENANCE CHECK
N.B.: During this check the safety functions Edges, Photocells, Stop button and Impact
detection are NOT active.
1 - Set
DIP 1 to ON
=> LED DL1 starts to flash.
2 - Press and hold the PROG button (the command is hold-to-run, open-stop-close-stop-open-
etc ...) => The gate starts at high speed and then slow down until the limit switch is reached.
3 - At the end, put
DIP 1 to OFF
. The DL1 LED turn OFF signaling the exit from the check.
If the motor does not work during this check, check the connections and its capacitor.
If the motor is working properly, check the safety devices.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
After having carried out all connections, by carefully following the layout and having positioned
the gate in intermediate position, check the correct ignition of red LEDS DL6, DL7, DL8 and DL9.
In case of no ignition of the LEDS, always with gate in intermediate position, check the following
and replace any faulty components.
DL6
OFF Stop button malfunction (if Stop is not connected, perform the jump between
COM A+ and STOP).
DL7 or DL8 OFF Faulty photocells (In case the edge is not connected, carry out jumper
between COM A+ and PHOTO 1/PHOTO 2)
DL9
OFF Faulty safety edge (In case the edge is not connected, carry out jumper
between COM A+ and EDGE)
DL13 blue ON Some functions are enabled via smartphone, so via smartphone check the
card functions as the dips/trimmers status may not be true.
On the board there are resettable fuses which intervene in the event of a short circuit,
interrupting the output assigned to them.
In the event of troubleshooting, it is advisable to disconnect all the removable connectors and
insert them one at a time in order to more easily identify the cause of the fault.
