6 : MAINTENANCE
6.1 Cleaning and care of the hob
Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning operations, make sure the hob is switched off.

food on the glass
ceramic surface)
1. Switch off the hob power supply.
• When the hob is off, the “hot
surface” warning light will not
function, but the cooking zones may
still be hot! Always proceed with the
utmost caution.
2. Apply detergent for electric hobs
onto the glass ceramic surface while
it is still warm (but not hot!).
• Do not use scouring pads, plastic
scrapers or aggressive/abrasive
detergents, to avoid the risk of
scratching the glass panel. Always
check the instruction labels of the
detergents or abrasive sponges to
see whether they are suitable.
3. Clean with a damp cloth and dry
with a clean cloth or a tea towel.
• Do not leave detergent residues on
the hob, to avoid the risk of staining
the glass.
4. Switch on the hob power supply.
