Overpressure monitoring
Message: “Overpressure”
The overpressure monitoring function is activated by def-
ault, but can be deactivated by the user. If the overpressure
monitoring function is activated, the switch-on / switch-off
thresholds “On at” and “Off at” can be adjusted.
If the overpressure monitoring function is activated, the
warning message is displayed as soon as the switch-on
threshold “On at” has been exceeded.
System operation is inhibited. As soon as the the pressure
falls below the switch-off threshold “Off at” again, the mes-
sage disappears and system operation recommences.
A possible cause for an overpressure warning can be a too
small expansion vessel.
Underpressure monitoring
Message: “Leakage”
The underpressure monitoring function is activated by
default, but can be deactivated by the user. If the under-
pressure monitoring function is activated, the switch-on /
switch-off thresholds “On at” and “Off at” can be adjusted.
If the underpressure monitoring function is activated, the
warning message is displayed as soon as the pressure falls
below the switch-on threshold “On at”.
System operation is inhibited. As soon as the pressure ex-
ceeds the switch-off threshold “Off at” again, the message
disappears and system operation recommences.
Possible causes for a underpressure warning are:
• A leakage in the system
• A discharge of heat transfer fluid into the collecting
vessel caused by a stagnation
Pipe circulation monitoring
Message: “Fl pipe circ.” / “Re pipe circ.”
The pipe circulation monitoring functions are deacti-
vated by default, but can be activated by the user. The
switch-on / switch-off threshold cannot be altered.
If the pipe circulation monitoring functions “Flow pipe
circ.” and “Return pipe circ.” (resp. one of them) are
activated, the corresponding pipe section is monitored
for significant temperature increase during the night. If
a significant temperature increase has been measured
for three consecutive nights, the corresponding warning
message appears.
Normal operation is not aborted or inhibited, but the
system should be checked for the cause of the warning.
Possible causes are:
• Ball valve failure
• Inadvertent opening of a ball valve
• Heat sources in close proximity of the pipes (e. g. chim-
ney, backup-heating system etc.)
The warning message disappears automatically as soon
as a night without a significant temperature increase has
passed.
