Adjustment value for the emergency shutdown of the store
loading (only visible if “
Readiness
” is activated).
If the
readiness function
is activated, the store can be loa-
ded beyond the adjusted maximum temperature Tstmax. In
order to avoid a too high store temperature, the tempera-
ture for an emergency shutdown can be adjusted.As soon
as the return temperature reaches the adjusted value, the
emergency shutdown takes place.
As the system does not have a store sensor, Tstsec is consi-
dered as exceeded if the adjusted temperature is measured
at the return sensor. In that case, the controller deactivates
the pump and a pause is run.
Control values
The “Control values” menu consists of the following func-
tions and options.
Collector minimal.
Options: “Yes”, “No”
Factory setting: “No”
Tcolmin
Adjustment range: 10... 60 °C
Factory setting: 10 °C
Collector temperature minimum limitation for the system
operation.
If “Collector minimal.” is activated, an identification phase
will only be considered successful if the identified collec-
tor temperature exceeds the adjusted minimum collector
temperature “Tcolmin” (Adjustment channel only visible if
“Collector minimal.” is activated).
Store cooling function (only visible if “
Readiness
” is activa-
ted).
If this function is activated, the store will be cooled down
via the collector field in the case that solar loading has taken
place beyond Tstmax due to the
readiness function
.
If the return temperature exceeds Tstmax and the
D
T falls
into negative range, store cooling will commence. The pump
will be operated at 100 % speed until either the
D
T is po-
sitive again or the return temperature falls below Tstmax.
Tstsec
Adjustment range: 30 ... 95 °C
Factory setting: 90 °C
The
readiness function
can be activated in order to keep
the system operable as long as possible during times of
strong irradiation.
If, during solar loading, the return temperature exceeds Tst-
max by more than 5 K. the controller starts the
readiness
function
, until either Tstsec has been reached or the return
temperature has fallen below Tstmax.
During the
readiness function
, the pump speed is controlled
with Tstsec as target flow temperature. Thus, the store can
be loaded beyond Tstmax, but never beyond Tstsec.
If the store is to be cooled down again after the irradiation
has lessened (e. g. over night), the option “Store cooling”
( see below) can be activated.

Note:
Evacuated tube collectors have a very low heat
loss. An effective store cooling via the collector
field is not possible. The store cooling function
should not be activated if there are evacuated
tube collectors in the system!
